Very vertically structured company with poor middle management.
Upper management seems to have a grasp on making smart decisions but are tied to long-term major bonus contracts that cloud judgement.
Middle management is a group of unqualified individuals that are poor leaders, and under-informed puppets.
Micro-management is a major issue leaving employees uncomfortable and disgruntled.
Base compensation for lower level employees is mediocre to poor with bonus structures that are laughable.
The technology is awful. Any attempts for upgrading have been nothing more then band aids that provide no real solutions. They are in they process of "upgrading", to a new TMS system that is a decade old, outdated and already being replaced by more forward thinking, tech-savvy competitors currently using it.
"CRST Logistics" is a small sector of the company and appears to be nothing but an old toy that isn't given much attention anymore.
