Small friendly community team, apart from one awful manager

The Dietetic department was an awful place to work due to the manager micromanaging staff and being very bossy with a superior attitude. As a qualified professional this is uncalled for. After being criticised in an appraisal with no justification and no prior discussions, I felt I had no option but to leave. Other staff members also felt the same and there was a bit of an exodus. Shame as it was a nice place to work without this particular manager.

Genuine focus and desire from the top (Directors) about providing the best care we can for patients and families It's been a challenging year but we have brought new people into senior posts who I've already seen are bringing in good changes We're employee owned so the culture aims to give us a greater voice and say about things than in other employers. Our employee council (The Voice) is active and does a good job at representing employeees' views to the Directors and Board

We've doubled in size between 2017 and 2018, and it's taken a while for our structures, processes and governance to catch up, but things are starting to fall into place now.
