Management has changed from a culture of working with people to a structure of trying to force their will at every turn. There is near zero employee engagement at any level of the structure these days. People once went above and beyond. There are only three ways to motivate any employee in any job. Pay. Time. Opportunity. The pay is decent but if you are a union employee, they refuse to collow their agreements. Time was one of the only motivators we had. They'd let you leave early if you got your work finished. Now? No leaving early and no time off. We are threatened weekly with a new notice or mailing to our homes about taking any time off. And opportunities have disappeared as the hedge fund cut and cut and cut.
