1) Used and abused - I was an Assistant Manager. I was sent all over the map to different stores working crazy hours. I started hourly, where they worked me a mere 35 hours a week so as to not go into overtime. Then they switched me to salary. They actually said I would get a raise. My raise was 5 cents per hour and now my work week was 70 hours a week. 45 of these hours were reflected on the schedule. I worked like a DOG for 70 hours a week actually making WAY less than I did on hourly if you figure it out. 2) Days off - If you get 2 days off, its not consecutive and theres no way its gonna be a weekend. I worked for a year and got a total of 4 weekends off. 3) Listen. It's not worth it. If you're a lower level employee, it's fine. You'll probably have a good time. But, they'll send you home early if they need to save money or if it's slow. Your paycheck is at the very back of their mind. If you're looking at taking a job in management? Well, I should have just kept looking.
