Busy Season hours can be demanding.

Modern office spaces and some genuinely kind coworkers at the associate level Base pay is on par. Maybe a bit lower for the hours you will be working.

The firm says "yes" to every new client without having the staff to support the work. This leads to everyone being chronically overstretched. Bonuses are inconsistent and don't seem to reflect the actual hours worked. Mental health takes a backseat to billable goals, and feedback from staff is often met with "coaching moments" that feel more like reprimands. There is a heavy presence of favoritism, especially in the Houston office, where it feels like a "chosen few" receive better opportunities and more flexibility. Leadership is disorganized; training for new staff is almost non-existent, leading to high burnout and massive turnover at the associate and senior and manager levels. The "unlimited PTO" policy is a major selling point that doesn't hold up. In practice, billable hour quotas and manager pressure make it nearly impossible to take more than a few days at a time without being questioned. Management often makes sudden, overnight policy changes (like shifting hybrid work rules) without consulting the staff. It seems like the firm cares more about hiring overseas and training overseas. I have noticed the investment in the onshore employees decline as overseas employee numbers were increased. Calvetti Ferguson's management has a history of requesting removal of reviews they claim contain "misinformation" or "abuse". Most of the reviews that people posted are not listed on glassdoor.
