People is extremely nice I haven’t experienced toxic behaviour

No much growth, not all but some people working for long time won’t teach new hires, so you’ll figure out processes by yourself. If you work in the 90s, you’ll feel the same here. Similar behaviours, no progression and forget about mental health, is a topic not mentioned at all.

Fair wage. Challenging work that fluxuates with the fishing seasons. Opportunity to grow as the company has a large number of employees who will be retiring in the next few years.

Declining fish stocks and market. Continual cutbacks and restructuring - the company has changed its strategy from canning to fresh/frozen products. This is a pro as well as it keeps the company in business but there was a major reduction in jobs from this change. Also, people are very guarded over their jobs as jobs are not very aecure. So collaborating between departments is minimal.
