- Rating system is unfair and causes constant instability > Forcing a specific percentage of employees in a tower to be fired or laid off every year makes it really hard to have a consistent team of well performing engineers and makes it so that senior engineers are constantly training new engineers instead of building a good product > It chips away team morale and turnover is fairly high because of that - Culture is hollow and hypocritical > They advertise how inclusive they are but every team I have been on has had fairly blatant sexism > They advertise how eco-friendly they are and how "liberal" they are but invest in businesses and projects that directly go against those aims - Work Life Balance > They like to tell employees that work life balance is a high priority, but every team I have been on has worked 60 hour weeks fairly routinely and the priorities that management sets makes it near impossible to work normal hours and still hit all benchmarks
