The 'Carpenter' that once was, is no more. - Recensione dipendente - Customer Service presso Carpenter Technology

Management sells their employees on 'free dreams' (an actual term they use behind closed doors). They sell you on the promise of a better work life, better pay and better opportunities, knowing full-well they have no intention of doing so. Imagine running on a treadmill with a carrot dangling 5 ft in front of the machine, you can run as fast as you like, you're not catching that carrot. Customer service reps are taught to not ask questions and follow blindly, the term 'drinking the kool aid' is fitting for this environment. To management, we're all just a number. My experience is just one of many from customer service.
