Svantaggi
-Upper management is rude, condescending and usually has no idea what is actually going on in the store. They usually go out of their way to catch you doing something wrong so they can chew you out. It's usually something small such as docking the pizza crust in the pan instead of outside of it. (Docking it in the pan is usually more effective in preventing air bubbles.) The most trivial thing was cutting the sandwich bread for the sub bar. I cut it all the way through, because it's difficult to close if the customer wants to load it up. Upper management got on me because of that and told me that it needed to be cut only partway through because it's "the way Subway does it." -They expect too much work in the amount of time you have available. -The kitchen is usually understaffed. (Upper management loves to cut hours right before the busiest times of year.) -Some of their policies are strict for something that is nothing more than a gas station that serves food. -The pay is low for the amount of work you have to do and the kind of customers you have to deal with. -Employees have to pay 50% for their food, even if it's "expired" and going into the trash. (Even at 50% off, it is still overpriced.) If they catch you eating any of the food going into the trash without paying for it, they will fire you. -You can be written up for drive-offs at the fuel pump. (Most other places in this day and age either have you pre-pay or pay at the pump, making drive-offs non-existent.) -They may write you up just because a customer complained about you, without even hearing your side of the story first. -I have never seen so much wasted food in my life. Upper management kept adding to the quantity of food we needed to put in the warmers and the sandwich coolers, even though we were having to throw most of it away once it expired, and then complained that the store wasn't pulling in the revenue they would like. They also don't take into consideration that more competition (and better competition with lower prices and higher quality food) has appeared in recent years. -The store manager is extremely overworked and extremely underpaid.
