Vantaggi
I've been with Caster for two years and in my time here have learned so much about PR and media relations, strengthened my writing, grown in my critical and creative thinking abilities and have been consistently given the opportunity to succeed and grow. I started at the same time a certain negative reviewer did and I think the difference in our experiences just goes to show that this job, as with any job is really what you make of it. I threw myself into my role at Caster and worked hard to constantly learn more while utilizing the tools and team assistance that was readily available to me. Other perks: - A GORGEOUS office with the latest tech and amenities. Seriously, I've worked in a startup environment and this is just as cool if not better because of its personality and smaller size. We get snacks, Pilates classes taught from the office and lots of beautiful, natural lighting - what more can you ask for? I've worked in a cubicle farm and this is the polar opposite! - Salary is generous and highly competitive for Rhode Island - PTO and paid sick days, matching 401k after one year, healthcare, flex hours and all major (and some minor!) holidays off, ability to work from home if you need it - Ability to travel for work - in the last two years I've been to Las Vegas twice, San Diego and Seattle Caster's a great place to work and there are very few opportunities like it, especially in Rhode Island.
Svantaggi
It's not necessarily a con but as other reviewers have noted -- this job is not for everyone. You have to be willing to be self-sufficient but a team-player, ready to work hard, and dedicated to pushing yourself to go above and beyond. It's not an 8 hour every day, 9-5 kind of job but if you're willing to put in the extra work it will not go unnoticed! We're growing fast but it is still a relatively small team, so there isn't a large corporate structure to hide behind, as others have mentioned. If you're open-minded and ready to work hard, Caster is ready to have you.
