Vantaggi

CircleCI is a true community. A home away from home. I would never have worked here for this long and recommended it to so many people if that wasn't the case. I get emails weekly from recruiters who keep trying to lure me away. I'm not going anywhere. We are incredibly lucky to have a CEO who addresses the entire company live twice a month, keeping everyone informed of the state of our business and our goals and directives. Where we are and where we are going are crystal clear. He takes questions on the spot and often goes over the alloted time to answer all of them. He writes thoughtful emails. He encourages people to contact him directly. Our executive leadership team (almost half of which are nonwhite women) is composed of smart, thoughtful, empathetic individuals who work tirelessly to make CircleCI a successful business AND a great place to work. This team continues to successfully navigate us through Covid and all that entails. It's obvious how much everyone cares. We have a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) taskforce that is committed to promoting equality for all races, genders, cultures and religions in our workplace. We have multiple employee resource groups (ERGs) that employees have formed to foster support around causes they have in common. As a previous reviewer mentioned, we are in hyper growth mode and are hiring accordingly. There is and will continue to be more work than the current employee base can possibly handle. This is a GREAT problem to have, especially in a year as challenging as 2020. Employees can step up, they can lead teams, they can apply for promotions, they can be more and do more. If an opportunity isn't taken to further career growth it's on the individual, not the company. If a fast growing company isn't where people want to be, I don't think that begrudgingly staying on and wishing we were a 40-person start up again with the same small company mindset and culture is the best move. For anyone that wants to be part of our team, we have a really bright and exciting future ahead of us, I can't wait to see what's in store for 2021.

Svantaggi

None that come to mind. CircleCI is a great place to work with endless opportunities, I continue to take on new responsibilities and am constantly challenged. My colleagues are like family. I'm a very happy employee.

Svantaggi

Leadership and HR need to provide more stability and consistency. Constantly changing priorities, processes, and initiatives every month creates confusion, increases stress, and makes it difficult for employees to focus on meaningful work. Many of these initiatives conflict with one another, leaving employees feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and exhausted. The new compensation guidelines have further damaged morale. They create the perception that the company is trying to reduce headcount through a "quiet layoff" rather than investing in and retaining its employees. Whether intentional or not, this has significantly eroded trust in leadership. Additionally, not providing annual raises for employees who consistently meet expectations is deeply disrespectful, especially in today's economic climate. At a minimum, compensation should keep pace with inflation. Expecting employees to maintain strong performance while their purchasing power continues to decline sends the message that their work and contributions are not valued. Employees want to do great work, but that requires stability, transparency, and fair compensation. Investing in the people who keep the business running will do far more for engagement and retention than a constant cycle of new initiatives and cost-cutting measures
