Your impression of the intentions and accountabilities of our management team is surprising. Citco’s management team in Halifax has received a consistently high favorable rating of at least 80% in our employee engagement surveys over the past 3 years. This score is comprised of employees anonymously rating their managers on a variety of items including approachability, supporting growth and development, treating people with fairness and respect, showing appreciation, creating a positive workplace, communicating important information, among many other aspects of the employee experience.
Based on a number of your points, you seem to perceive a blur between the Supervisor, Manager and VP positions. These roles are fundamentally different in function and described in detail in the Career Roadmap tool, which can be viewed by all employees on our HR SharePoint site. The Career Roadmap also allows you to assess your current skillset and can serve as a practical basis for a conversation with your manager about your development and individual career goals.
We encourage you to speak with your leadership or Human Resources about your concerns. This will give management the opportunity to address the situation directly and give you a better opportunity to influence your employment experience moving forward.
