Lots of favoritism and preferential treatment in the workplace. Some people leave early or call in sick every Friday/Monday with no consequences, while others are written up and terminated... it all depends on how much management "likes" you. Your workload is about 1.5 to 2 times what it should be. The pay is far below market average when you start out, usually it will be $32k-$35k annually as an adjuster level 1. This company is part of WalMart Corporate so expect to be treated as if they do not trust you... like a child that has to be continually monitored. Most supervisors are micro-managers. Several years ago there was the possibility of getting 'up to 20% bonus" of your annual salary but the higher ups at WalMart's HQ have been systematically reducing it. Most of the people who mentored me before leaving have been terminated and replaced with lower wage earners. The directors and upper managers always lie about the profit sharing and bonus plan during meetings. Expect to leave everyday frustrated, angry, and worn-out. Overall, this is a good place to get your license and maybe 2 years of experience if you can make it that far without being terminated--then go to a real third party administrator to earn a livable wage and work a normal workweek.
