Svantaggi
There are many reasons you should avoid working for Clean Harbors, but the most significant and ultimately sole reason simply comes down to money. The work a Field Tech often labor intensive and involves the handling of hazardous materials, as well as other potentially dangerous or harmful conditions, and despite the large profits you make for the company, you’ll be fighting your way up the corporate ladder trying to shake a twenty cent raise (literally) months and months after it was supposed to have been given, not by design of any one shop, but as a matter of corporate structure and entirely deliberate on behalf of the company. It takes about a month in most cases for even the most eager new hire realize they’re being offered an abysmal wage for both the type of work and percentage of the profit they get for the revenue they generate, at which point they start looking for a way out, with a year being about the most they can take, though people have quit in only a few days, once they realized they’ve been conned. They require you to travel overnight often, making it difficult to have a life, while creating new policies creating new rules that make it harder to get OT pay. You spend every other week on call, meaning you have to be free to come in at the drop of a hat every other weeks, but don’t get paid to be on call or given bonuses to respond. Again, you barely make money here for intense work, avoid for that alone.
