Vantaggi
If you want a chance to experience and benefit from hyper-growth this is the place to do it. The company is barreling toward IPO with a degree of momentum and success that is one in a million. You can see the development of a world class company right before your eyes as seasoned leaders are brought on board and the foundations of systems and process are quickly being firmed up, all while keeping that charm and culture of a startup (albeit a very fast-paced one). Comp & benefits are great. 401K match, fully paid medical, competitive salary and strong equity packages with huge upside. No bonus program but I expect that to change before long. In the meantime the equity more than makes up for it in my opinion.
Svantaggi
I would not personally call these cons but some certainly would - they are the flip-sides of everything in the pros. If you don't want to be part of a hyper-growth company because you don't like change or want to prioritize work-life balance, this may not be the company for you. This is not your established company where you do the same thing each day 9 to 5. You have to be ready to learn, pivot quickly, context switch, and accept change. Things are getting easier over time as the company quickly grows & matures, but this culture will likely remain for quite awhile. To be clear, the work-life balance really isn't bad for a startup and doesn't even begin to compare to something like investment banking. It's just not a 40 hour work week for most teams.
