Vantaggi

CoBank has been a very stable place to work and their bonuses are decent. A work life balance is easy to maintain. There are a lot of employees that have been at CoBank for a very long time 10-25 years. CoBank seemed recession proof during the last few years and has been breaking their own records and goals for as long as I've been there. CoBank has a great training program.

Svantaggi

Salaries tend to be under market but they try to make up for it with a yearly bonus. Many people do not feel appreciated. The CEO says that it's the employees that make the difference but let's you know that if your not on board with everything CoBank does you might not be a good fit. Certain groups within the bank have a very high turnover. Some mid to upper level management have a zero tolerance for error. The bank is very conservative and many are afraid of making a mistake because they could be let go immediately. There is a disconnected feeling between employees. There are not a lot of close relationships between people and people keep their personal lives to themselves for the most part. One thing that has bugged me is that CoBank has been getting more and more "corporate". They've also grown a lot and been quite profitable.

Vantaggi

Financially speaking CoBank is a stable company. The yearly bonus payout is competitive,

Svantaggi

It's referred to as "CoBank nice" which is another way of saying it's a passive-aggressive culture. If you dislike endless meetings, this environment can be frustrating. Strong resistance to change at the leadership levels - despite claims of being focused on transformation, real progress is very limited. Extremely slow pace. Recent months have brought significant organizational and leadership changes, but very little acknowledgement about the impact those changes have on associates. PTO is definitely not competitive.
