A general lack of accountability on behalf of senior leadership, retaliatory treatment from management, bonuses promised to employees aren’t always paid out, opportunities for advancement in a non-leadership role are very few and far between, HR/recruiting department can be deceitful presenting job description and salary information to internal employees and external candidates, lack of structured training and educational resources for on the job, some associates are required to work overtime hours they’re not compensated for due to understaffing and budgeting issues, constant turnover across all levels of experience at the bank creating a wide knowledge gap, salaries can oftentimes be lower than the national market average, not all employees are able to participate in hybrid/remote work due to the lack of structure around the program, leadership whittles employees down by piling on work above their capacity until they quit

To encourage associate recommendations, those who refer a candidate that is hired will earn a net reward of $3,500. Additionally, we are continuously reviewing our compensation packages to ensure they remain competitive as well as exploring flexible work arrangements to cater to the diverse needs of our associates. Last year, CoBank created the GROW initiative that is a direct response from feedback associates provided. There are now clear and defined career growth paths with more focus on career development. It's referred to as "CoBank nice" which is another way of saying it's a passive-aggressive culture. If you dislike endless meetings, this environment can be frustrating. Strong resistance to change at the leadership levels - despite claims of being focused on transformation, real progress is very limited. Extremely slow pace. Recent months have brought significant organizational and leadership changes, but very little acknowledgement about the impact those changes have on associates. PTO is definitely not competitive.
