Vantaggi

1. Opportunities in the USA. 2. Good Cafetarias. 3. Salaries are not bad.

Svantaggi

1. Vertical driven organization. Vertical teams rule withint he company. If you are part of a horizontal origanization, you play a second fiddle role. 2. They focus way too much on metrics, reporting, analysis, paralysis and so called quality. 3. They need to understand foundations of solid delivery teams are good talent, good training and good delivery processes. While they focus on measuring the delivery all the time, they do not focus on underlying root causes that need to be addressed. Extensive quality processes often not needed, takes up very valuable time away from operational resources and managers. 4.They are also not experts in any area unlike TCS, Wipro or Infosys. You cannot say Cognizant is the best in Mainframe or Business Intelligence or any particular area. 5. Work culture and timings are too much to handle.

Vantaggi

Cognizant can be a great place to work at. You have to be self-motivated and driven. You won't often be given a script on how to do your job well. But if you are willing to search for new opportunities, you will find success.

Svantaggi

Just like many other tech companies, layoffs are happening all the time. This often brings many projects to a complete halt. Management never communicates when someone is laid off. And when they are laid off, they often never back fill positions, leaving existing team members working the equivalent of three jobs at once. Most teams there are skeleton crews, ensuring that they cannot reach their full potential.
