Vantaggi
• Company supports its employees, this especially came to the surface during COVID situation. Higher management and CEO kept everyone in the loop regarding updates and upcoming changes. • Work from home is not normal and kind of an exception but the company adapted WFH fairly quickly and without much issues during pandemic. At Least 80-90% of staff is working remotely which is very commendable. • ComPsych shows stability during these economically challenging times and still hiring people. • Very laid back environment and flexible work schedule. IT team size is small and almost no communication issues in terms of putting forward your needs or conveying any issues to leaders and managers. • This company is a very good choice if you have a family and are planning to settle down for the long term. Work life balance is excellent. • Zero micromanagement and zero corporate politics. I worked with some of the nicest people during my career over here. The IT department is small and team sizes within the IT department are small as well so things are well organized. Its a very positive and encouraging working environment, to me this is a very big plus point. • Tech stack is old but there is a change going on to upgrade tech stack to catch up with latest technologies. Company is in a growing phase in terms of technology upgrade hence this is again a plus point if you want to learn newer technologies. You can learn new things and newer technologies along with growing company. • Location is very good and convenient for daily commute both from nearby downtown and suburbs. • Fairly good legal team for your H1B and/or other immigration related work. They sponsor green card after a year of employment.
Svantaggi
• Salary, compensation and benefits are not upto the market standard especially for IT folks. This is a common negative point across most reviews here. • Each and every decision goes through higher management outside of tech leadership boundary and it feels like higher management doesn't care to understand how IT works. This makes the IT department less authoritative. • Not much importance is given to the IT department and IT teams feel constrained by budget, resources to keep up with current technologies. This is very concerning because how crucial role IT plays especially in the current situation where everything is becoming virtual. • Tech teams are full of talented people but due to restrictive approach of non tech management things are moving at a slower pace compared to rapidly changing technologies. This becomes frustrating for tech enthusiast developers.
