Part-time employees get no benefits though the hours worked do not differ much from full-time employees (I worked 37 hours as a part-time employee while full-time is 40 hours a week). Part-time employees are almost expected to work every Saturday. Though you're given paid sick days, it seemed almost impossible to use it. I contracted strep throat, had a fever that was over 100 degrees, with a doctor's note and still expected to come in. My branch was short-staffed more than half of the time I worked there. It took 7 months for a new teller to be hired and once a new person was hired, someone else was fired, still leaving us short-staffed. There seemed to be no real concern for the tellers' safety, only the money.
