Community has taken away large hourly bonuses for short staff areas; known violent patients are readmitted frequently; nurses are expected to “put patients first,” but when the provider becomes a patient from the assault of a patient, expect to wait longer than those from the surrounding community. PRN order sets are severely lacking in comparison to other leading institutions. Expect to be assaulted multiple times without any treatment or action, which is against the ANA recommendation. Insurance is below average for companies of its size for the price, as are days off.
