I don't understand what some teams were doing

You'll probably like the work you do, and maybe some of the lower-level employees of the company. Especially those in your department. It's very clique-y, so your team will look out for you as long as you be sure to only get along with them.

The CEO has no idea what he's doing. Ditto most of the department heads, and the ones who do know what they're doing are afraid to stand up to the CEO because they know they'd be kicked out the door. Work atmosphere is horrible, and the company can't retain its talent so new employees are often hired, no time is invested in training them, right about the time they become good at their work they realize that the company has no future so are less invested in their work and end up unmotivated and looking for something else. Backstabbing and informing on coworkers is encouraged.
