Lack of support that comes from working for a small company.

Got you hooked that they are a family company, have solid relationships with vendor partners and will be very supportive. ...while helping help you grow.

Trashes you on several fronts. Terminates contracts on a whim. Very unsupportive. Has no problem placing the blame on the consultant for issues that 1) they are aware of and 2) they refuse to address directly (until it is too late). Management also expects you to manage the customer while you perform your "day job" and the company receives all the benefits. ...not to mention the low consulting rates paid to employees/contracts while charging high rates to customers.
