Establishing relevant objectives and performance standards are necessary for departments and the company to continue to grow and be profitable. Managers are empowered to establish clear goals that are realistic and achievable. Managers are also responsible for providing adequate training and arranging resources to meet those goals. In the sales organization, proactive outbound activity plays its part in the larger picture, but it is not the sole metric reviewed.
As evident in the numerous awards for customer service, Connection effectively cultivated a sales organization that is responsive to the needs of its customers. Affording salespeople operational resources to concentrate on solution selling rather than administrative functions lends to consistent sales growth. In addition to affording operational resources to our sales organization, Connection continually evaluates its operational effectiveness and seeks better procedures in the interest of efficiency. Soon, you will see a new ERP which will aid in reducing the administrative work associated with processing an order. That tool will afford additional time for account managers to be engaged in sales activities related to developing effective solutions to address their customers’ needs.
