Health benefits were available to part-time employees. I'm not sure if that is still the case though. They worked with my college schedule. When I wasn't in school (during the summers or in between semesters or quarters), I could pick up extra hours if I wanted to. I could also pick up extra hours whenever we had staff shortage or peak weeks. We had casual attire in my department. I was able to wear jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers everyday. In the summer, I wore cargo shorts and walking sandals, and no one hassled me about it.

The hourly pay was lower than what I thought the position deserved.
