There are people there that really do care and want to make things better. Unfortunately, that is at Level 1 management or lower so it gets little to no traction.

There is no recognition above your direct manager. They are frequently letting people go and instead of backfilling, they are placing the work on their remaining employees with no additional compensation. New hires make more than existing highly tenured employees, and salary increases for those loyal employees are not a priority for management. Jobs are beginning to be outsourced, but employees are hearing about it via word of mouth, rather than through upper management, which is causing concern for everyone’s job security.
