Vantaggi

The work-life balance is perfect, time off includes a paid two-week span over Christmas and New Year's in which the office is closed but the days do not count against employee vacation days. Office environment is very relaxed and familial, most employees are generally friends with each other outside of work as well. There are many opportunities for growth if you want to take them.

Svantaggi

You need to be driven and an active contributor to thrive here. If you're the kind of individual that likes to be told what to do for every little thing, you should probably look at a larger company.

Vantaggi

CGR has several standout qualities. I believe the CEO is genuinely committed to his employees' well-being, especially the recruiters, in contrast to many agencies that operate on a model demanding high output with minimal support, such as draw-against-commission structures. Additionally, many recruiters and support staff put in real effort to build a welcoming, collaborative environment that fosters a strong sense of camaraderie.

Svantaggi

Unfortunately, these positives are overshadowed by a toxic culture. A select "core" is favored, often at the expense of more experienced recruiters who end up feeling marginalized. The company markets itself as a "Christian values" organization, but this often translates into an exclusionary environment where anyone who doesn’t share specific beliefs (i.e. mostly conservative Evangelical Protestant) — whether Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, or secular — feels out of place. This favoritism and lack of diversity foster an atmosphere of exclusion rather than inclusion. The company also has a high turnover rate, with constant layoffs, firings, and abrupt policy changes that create a chaotic and paranoid atmosphere. Stability is lacking, and new initiatives are regularly introduced only to be scrapped a few months later, making it hard for employees to feel secure or invested.
