Corning may be the 'largest employer in the area', but they are certainly not the best. They do solve problems by basically throwing money at their problems, but unfortunately, it results in a backfire costing more money in the long run. Good working facilities and safety mindedness, but could do with some newer management and decrease the 'packages' offered by inept supervisors and managers that are working only long enough to get such perks at company costs after retirement.

Overpaid and over compensated for work done. Management takes employee ideas and passes them off as their own for credit. Forced to work with Union and Company employees in circumstances that do not work. Information placed in employee files that are not relevant or correct. Many employees with specific backgrounds, education and previous work experiences are not placed in positions where they utilize these characteristics. If they need a 'warm body' they will place you there for as long as they want then force you out in a RIF situation.
