Crosstree has a very high level of fabrication for the most prestigious clients. All the projects are custom so there is always new types of work and methods of fabrication needed. The studio space is for design and developing ideas and prototypes.

A really high level of skill is required to fabricate the projects so it takes time to learn and master.

Truly unique place to work. I learned A TON while working at Crosstree, and I consider it to be a very formative experience from my early career. Because it is a small operation, I was exposed to all different aspects of running a business, including product development, marketing, and manufacturing. I developed an array of fabrication skills and gained experience in project management and client interface. The work itself is interesting and very satisfying to contribute to. The shop is clean and well-equipped. Travis is willing to provide knowledge and resources to help you develop your skills and your ideas as long as you are motivated.

The pay was low and the hours were long sometimes. My wage was proportionate to my fabrication experience level (which was nonexistent), not my effort. The nature of the work and the small size of the company led to some stressful moments. It's not an easy role, and you'll get as much out of it as you are willing to put in. I knew all this at the time, and I considered (and still consider) the experience to be worthwhile.
