HR does a good job of screening for people who fit well into the team. and there's a large variety of work so it's not difficult to find an interesting position within the company. In the vast majority of cases the people, both coworkers and managers, have been outstanding human beings who are genuinely interested in collaboratively meeting the goals laid out by management.

Salary increases do not match inflation and aren't geared toward retaining talented employees. A 3% raise is about the best you can expect year over year and as a result people often leave when another company offers them significantly more for similar work. There is a good bonus but it's based on company wide performance so if one business unit excels it can be watered down by other underperforming business units.
