Vantaggi

Svantaggi
Probably the worst experience in my long career. The management is terrible. PMO leaders don't spend enough time leading the teams because they are so busy doing project management work themselves. The PMO leader on the construction side manages way too many projects, more than the other project managers. But this person is supposed to be the PMO MANAGER. The manager above that - same deal, they also do project management. The problem here is not enough resources overall. This again is a management issue.. Everyone there is so overworked there is not much in the way of teamwork. So when you come on board here, you are expected to figure everything out with little guidance from others. The management here relies on fear as the motivator. They schedule trainings and other events during the weekends and on certain holidays when the client is off. Instead of managing people, the management depends on 'spies and gossip' in the form of your peers for performance feedback. My manager never met with me (only for performance review meetings) and barely even said hello in the hallway. Trust me I've had a long career and many different managers along the way. This one was the worst.
