Vantaggi
Benefits, collegiality, and overall treatment by management are probably better than average. Emphases on safety and quality are sincere, not just lip service. Wages and opportunities for overtime for hourly employees are competitive. Reasonable productivity standards and generous productivity incentives. Opportunities for advancement, at least up to a point.
Svantaggi
A real lack of transparency. Unreasonable expectations of salaried employees, bordering on exploitation. Some very shady appointments to fill open positions (on an "interim" basis, of course) without advertising them, internally or otherwise. An "old boys club" management regime, at least where I work: women in management are treated poorly. Salaries (as opposed to wages) are consistently lower than industry averages.
