I've had my fair share of terrible companies to work for, horrible bosses and no benefits at all. Dish gets a bad rap and some things mentioned may have happened years ago, I've read every report on here and I'm bewildered because I've never witnessed the negative stuff. The culture of the company is good, lots of perks! An entry level person has a potential to make roughly 40-50k a year, based on my own calculations. Employees win numerous gifts, free food, have the ability to leave early at times. The management has worked very hard to provide agents with attendance flexibilities for the minor emergencies in life that can happen. Once an agent was in the hospital for a few weeks within just a couple of being hired and management worked with the agent to help keep the job. Another had a family issue happen in the middle of the first week and management helped to get the individual into a different start time. I have never had a company do that or have heard of any company do that. This is a fast paced and incredibly rewarding environment. It just requires a little commitment and hard work to get there, like anything worthwhile in life. If you are an individual who believes that you are entitled, then probably not an ideal job for you. The biggest reasons, in my opinion, people quit is because of a sense of entitlement and letting customers impact them. Yes this is a call center job, and something isn't working for the customer. We understand their frustration and help them. So if people getting mad at you is an issue, not an ideal fit. But if you want to roll up your sleeves and land yourself with an amazing company then this is a great company to work for.

Very little cons. Light rail is super close, discounts at restaurants in the area. Company has tuition reimbursement for individuals who want pursue degrees. I wish the city would clean out the pond that's on the campus, it gets kinda stagnant a couple of times. And also there are a couple geese, Fred and I forget the other one's name, that get aggressive when they're lady geese lay their eggs. But alas, they are an endangered species and, its their migratory pattern. So hands tied on that issue, as they are federally protected. I checked on the healthcare when I started and another large healthcare company told me its better then what they had. Sorry, if that's a little disjointed, I absolutely love Dish and am excited to go to work every day. It's been like that since the day I interviewed. I can't seem to get rid of that joy.
