      Most staff are highly competent and dedicated, despite poor salary and high responsibility.

      Long working hours expected with no overtime payment or time back. Line managers have no training for the role - soft skills often lacking. Huge problem with nepotism. Lower lab staff are treated as worker bees with no professional development prospects. During my 3+ years at DNAe I felt extremely undervalued and frustrated, and since moving on have excelled in a company that recognises and rewards my work. Leaving was the best decision for my career and personal sense of worth.

      The Interview process did took its good 3 months (initial recruiter call, call with manager, presentation on site, another call with CEO and then one last call with manager) but to be honest I do think they take the time to choose the best person for the role as everyone here is amazing to work with, even with the London office. Work/life balance is great! And the pay as well. I had awful experiences with my last 2 companies by DNAe is a blessing.

      Can gain lots of exposure to different areas. Everyone is personally great to work with and able to make real friends with coworkers.

      Has been a startup for 10+ years with no products on market. High turnover, frequent restructuring. Chronic disorganization and overcommitment. Uneven workload across teams. Essentially no equity offered.
