Vantaggi
The day-to-day people I worked with are really good in all aspects. Many remain my friends (almost all of us have now been laid off), we stay in touch as a group. Life Insurance.
Svantaggi
Everything else to be honest. Pay is substandard. Benefits are the worst - Obamacare is what you get for Health, Dental, Vision. They are over-costed and under value for what you pay for. They talk training, but do not train you in anything. Not even the online university is available for use after the merge (CSC with HPE). Their 401k (Matched Asset Plan, MAP) is a joke, annual matching, and only 50 cents to the dollar; with only 18 possible funds to choose from, and about double the fees under HPE. If you get the work forced reduction notice, it will be 1-day notice. You will get a final paycheck immediately and a severance paycheck (8 weeks if you were there over a certain number of years, 15 I think is the max) a couple of weeks later. Nothing else, no benefits, no resume or job search training or assistance, which HPE offered to my cohorts who moved on earlier than I. President Trump's executive order targeting abuse of the work and student VISA programs and his recent immigration proposal seem like they are targeting HPE and DXC as the situations they explained are exactly what's going on at HPE and DXC. Replacement of US citizens with foreign nationals abusing the VISA program and enabling them to pay less, though the H1 VISA is supposed to keep that from happening. You will not be appreciated and you will discarded like garbage when they are done using you.
