DaVita does live out it core values for me on a daily basis. I have been here now almost 10 years and when I was seeking to grow and move into a new role the opportunities where there for me to either take on class's, take on a new project, work with my immediate manager to find opportunities that would expose me to experiences that would help me to achieve my goals. The culture is amazing and we do work hard but in the end if find a pride in what I do and I feel this comapny has treated me well in all areas of my work experience. I get to impact the lives of my teammates and our patients by what I do on a daily basis.

The only thing I can think of as a possible "con" is that you have to take the time and the steps to educate yourself on the opportunities within this company. We are large and I think that with all they do to communicate through many mediums "Village Voice", our "Town Criers" and our "Home Room Meetings" it is still up to you to find your path and work closely with your manager to achieve your personal goals, if you can dream it, DaVita can help you make it come true and I have experienced this first hand.

Stable company to work for with great benefits. DaVita offers tuition reimbursement, so it pays to go back to school and get a degree. They also help with career advancement and development.

If you are new to dialysis, it may take a while to reach a decent wage. You are required to work 12 hour shifts, mostly on your feet, and managers will always look to add to your workload.

Patient connections is rewarding work, great hands on experience, paid on the job training, training for PCTs is at least consistent.

12+ hour long hours, emotionally and physically taxing, unqualified management, poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, high turn over, very little amount of opportunity for movement within the company despite preaching that they encourage it. The culture and values are heavily spoken about with little to no enforcement. The position requires significant dedication to learn all the moving parts of the clinic.
