If you have the right skill set, there are plenty of career options at Dell. Dell welcomes breadth in jobs and you own your career. Now being on the outside and a student at a top 10 MBA program, I appreciate even more the experience and knowledge Dell gave me.

Long hours and work life balance are a challenge. Even though Michael has said the business is turning around, how is Dell innovating and will the innovation continue if they become a leader again? After years of defending manufacturing in the U.S. and being close to the customer, manufacturing is disappearing and moving to Asia and other WW locations. If you are an operations person, forget working at Dell. Your network is extremely important at Dell and if you want to move up in roles, you must develop a strong network.
