Thanks for leaving the post. Perforce acquired Delphix in 2024. With any acquisition, there will always be some changes but we try to make sure the newly acquired employees are afforded an opportunity to provide us with feedback so we can adjust. It has been very impressive to see the Delphix team fit into Perforce so quickly and really add so much to our culture. It's the people that make this place special. Thanks again for the post. ~Jim Cassens, CEO of Peforce

Vantaggi

I generally enjoyed my time working at Delphix. I felt that decisions were made fairly most of the time and that I had a good understanding of the product, the customers. I got to have a large impact on the company.

Svantaggi

The lack of cloud experience and not being promoted to the Staff title even after doing Staff level work for several years ultimately has caused as loss of significant opportunities at future jobs and a significant loss of income. I now make far less income than I ever did in my career in a senior position and pushing for staff work without that recognition of that title at other companies has caused a tremendous amount of work for me. Working at Delphix has made it really difficult for other companies to understand my resume. Some companies have said that I would be better doing sys admin, principle software engineering work, QA work, or dev ops work. It's all over the place. Almost everyone wants strong cloud and infrastructure skills, which became really important in the industry while I was at Delphix. It would have been a really good parting gift for them to give me the title prior to leaving to align my work with the correct title. It also would really help if Delphix would have at least provided a network or leads to help me get the next job when they laid me of due to the non-cloud work that I did there. Being laid off and then seeing a good part of my responsibilities posted for a person in India was really insulting. When being nice, having perks, espousing noble values is advantageous to running the business they will do those things. Its not a fundamental principle in the company.

Delphix was acquired by Perforce in 2024 (1 year ago). While I can't help fix anything that happened prior to the acquisitions, Perforce has invested significantly in developing our employees and have promoted over 190 people in 2025. Our entire company participates in a Global Hack-a-thon where we allow employees to spend time working on innovative ideas. Many of our new product features come from roles like our solution engineers. If you haven't taken a look at Perforce and our career opportunities, I would invite you to take a look. ~Jim Cassens, CEO of Perforce
