The Owners were family, and they were nice enough. They just had a sales plan that didn't encourage customer service. Because of how they were compensated, Account Managers made more by promising the world, whether they thought they could deliver or not. They only worked the account for the first 3-6 months. Keeping the relationship meant nothing after that short start-up period.
