This is my second organization that focuses on digital accessibility. Not only is Deque the most holistic and experienced organization in the space, it was a breath of fresh air joining a functional company that still has the altruistic goal of accessibility as its core value and mission. There is a reason you see a lot of tenured sales folk here. Few of the positives that come to mind: - Senior leadership and C-Level's have been with Deque for a long time and know this industry - The tooling works! It is scalable and Deque can implement and support - Services side is very fluid and responsive. Can turn around deliverables very quickly - Can prove out a real and tangible ROI with tooling - Continually upgrading products - Very collaborative environment with very strong SME's & Thought Leaders - Not a toxic environment with strong management that supports your goal of selling

Not really a con but revamping some internal processes to modernize them. Going in the right direction! Large tech stack to digest but actively figuring out processes and use cases for each one

As a seller, there's key things I personally look for in a role (ability to hit/overachieve on quota, solution fit, and work-life balance). Quota attainment: This is one of the strongest areas. Most of the AEs are either above quota or at least 70-80%+ which is impressive for sales roles these days. For those below, they're typically newer reps ramping up and building their books of business of may have had an off quarter. Lead flow, while at times has been inconsistent, has picked up in 2026 which is great for our team's outlook. Solution fit: competitors in this space over pieces of what Deque can - while it's competitive and customers will choose competitors here and there, Deque has a significant lead in strategy and current offerings. Having worked at other accessibility companies, it's far beyond what others can do. Work-life balance: this is the one area that can be improved for what I look for. Enhancements in rep efficiency via various tools help and I expect it'll get better in 2026, but there's a lot of work to be done.

It's really on the work-life balance piece - it's not a critical issue for me given the earning potential and the pros above, but it's important to take time here and there to recharge and step away.
