As CEO of course it saddens me to hear a negative review of the company. Unfortunately the events industry is exacting and requires people within it, to work long hours with sometimes ridiculous deadlines. And it is not the life for everyone. But as a company we are very upfront with all potential employees on this matter, both hourly or salaried. As a way to offset these inconveniences to non hourly staff, we offer 'comp days' in lieu of any weekend or holidays that our employees have to work - and in addition we give all salaried staff, half day Fridays for ten weeks in the summer, to make up for the extra hours they may have to work to meet deadlines during the rest of the year. We believe investing in the development of our employees is both a benefit to the individual, as well as the company. As such we send members of our staff on annual learning trips to expand their knowledge base and open them to what is going on in their respective worlds. (I believe the design dept attended courses in LA last year, to learn about new software and design technologies). With regards to growth within the company - altho we are relatively small, we have continually grown over the past seven years, and many individuals have in fact moved up from positions within the warehouse/production and sales. As far as an inner circle, this is a group of upper management individuals that run the production/design/sales and financials of the company - this is a standard C suite set up that you will find in any small to mid size organization. And yes, we have several dogs who have become much loved, part time members of our staff!

We do have a tight knit group due to the overall size of the organization, and tho gossip should not be part of the company culture I do accept that this is something we need to address. As a group, we are currently working on ways to improve how we communicate, help, and better work with each other. The company management is committed to making this happen.
