LaGrange is 8-10 minutes from Shipshewana, which is somewhat of a tourist destination... attractions include the huge weekly flea market & auction, Menno-Hof, and Amish food. LaGrange, Indiana is Amish country... great if you enjoy a rural, small town environment.
