Vantaggi

Aside from working in a gym I honestly can't think of any others this is arguably the worst company to be apart of

Svantaggi

Upper Management, lack of a consistent check, lies about commission, lies about salary, lies about contracts. This is a company that looks at overweight people as dollar signs and will literally attack their core insecurities to get money out of them. They do not care If you ever lose a pound as long as your bill is paid. This is not sales it is simply exploitation. They pay their trainers next to nothing (avg $8 per session) they pose it to you as $16/hr but being that 98% of sessions are half hours..well you can do the math. You will not be able to retain any serviceable trainer don't even bother trying to attract a good one the EFT name is a curse in fitness circles. In a nutshell it discouraged me from ever wanting to work in a gym again.

Vantaggi

Place to gain experience in training for someone new to the field of training. Most times they accept any certification so its a good way to start because management feeds you clients so you don't have to totally rely on yourself to sell, but once you get your experience go some place better. As with training, your clientele depends on your location. If the people who attend your gym don't have money don't expect a ton of clients. They do promote from within so if you manage to consistently sign people up for training the chance to get promoted is there and often great sales performance will move you up the ladder very quickly

Svantaggi

Pay isn't great. You will get complaints from clients about the customer service as they have to jump through hoops to cancel sometimes. Trainers often are not taught how to sell training so they expect you to book appointments with potential clients but some club managers don't teach you how to write contracts so you getting commission off of a deal is at their discretion.
