Vantaggi

- Cool team that I work with - Client offers a few nice perks (free food) - a lot of opportunity to learn and network with similarly-minded and connected people

Svantaggi

- Astounding and crippling amounts of micromanaging - Management is completely unorganized and moves chaotically - Management puts their responsibilities on subordinates and questions when those same things are not done to the caliber of their liking - Client culture is terrible; often told that "no favors are done around here"; people are constantly throwing each other under the bus - PTO quantity is awful, we should really get more than what we're getting (currently we are only given 10 days and 6 sick days; in my opinion for the amount of work we do we need twice the amount of that). - have been told that working from home, or even a hybrid, work schedule is not possible or allowed, even though 50% of the job is overseeing sites remotely; and also doesn't seem fair considering the client gets to work on a hybrid- based work model. - Management does not properly train you; they put it on their subordinates to just assume a "trainer" role. Sets you up to fail later on in the job because you'll be positioned to oversee a project or an issue that you have not been trained in, and then get in trouble and look bad in front of the client for not completing it correctly - Job scope is changing literally on a weekly basis; we are often expected to fulfill tasks that would be considered field work, as well as traveling; both things of which were not indicated in early interviews. - very high turnaround time

Vantaggi

I’ve been an account executive at EOS for the last several years, working with enterprise accounts on the east coast. I’ve had the opportunity to work with every department at the company, including individual contributors, managers and our C suite. I’ve seen tremendous growth during my time here, both in overall company revenue as well as organizational development. I feel that EOS is a great place to work; as with any organization there are pros and cons to working here, but in my experience the positive aspects of the company far outweigh the negatives. Pros Organizational Structure – when one of my clients has a challenge and I need help solving it? I have immediate access to anyone in the company that can help me address the issue. I’m able to reach out to my CEO, COO and CCO at any time for literally any reason, and they’re always willing to give me direction or simply jump in and help fix the problem themselves. In a sales organization, that’s a huge differentiator. When you’re the first point of contact for Fortune 100 clients, you need to know that you’ve got the resources to solve problems quickly… and at EOS, you do. The “client centric” attitude begins at the C level and permeates the entire organization. Global Reach – almost all integrators claim to be global, but EOS has its roots in global shipping and logistics. I have a great team in the US… and a great team in Europe… and a great team in Asia Pacific. I’m very comfortable selling international solutions because I know our support structure is strong and “in house”. Breadth of Services – EOS is known as an AV integrator (with good reason), and I’ve witnessed our expansion into multiple other areas of the IT landscape. When I first started I was primarily focused on selling AV; my active portfolio now includes IT infrastructure, Managed Services, End User Computing, IT Asset Management, and a very strong Innovation practice that encompasses AI, Smart Workspace and other emerging technologies. We don’t do everything – no one does – but it’s a strong service catalog that’s only getting better as time goes on. Culture – you knew I’d have to use that word at some point, right? In my first 12 months I needed to ask a lot of questions, and I quickly realized that every single time I approached someone for help they’d help me – I was never brushed off, never told “I don’t know”… people always helped. If you’re willing to do the work and willing to learn, you’ll be supported just as well as I have been.

Svantaggi

EOS has grown rapidly over the last few years and sometimes tools and processes don’t evolve as quickly as we’d like. That creates inefficiencies and can be quite frustrating at times. It also means that you’ll be called upon to take on responsibilities beyond your job description; this is the flip side of working in a client-centric organization. The company is big on ownership and accountability. There’s no hiding behind a system or a process; you’re accountable to get things done, so you go out there and you make it happen. Personally, it works extremely well for me – but if you’re looking for a very regimented and structured organization, it could be a challenge.
