Svantaggi

Emotionally illiterate owner that is largely absent and never takes accountability. Upper management gaslights and manipulates and punishes lower level staff for performance they never set standards for. Very little concern for employee safety in a store that sells high value merchandise. Employees are disposable and there are often layoffs and hours reductions. HR is a family relative of the owner and can't be trusted. Gossipy. No health insurance, no professional development, no upward mobility, barely any PTO

This is a small team of highly creative women. Each person on our staff is talented and wonderful in her own way. The business owner is hard working and inspiring. The jewelry, artwork and home decor that we curate and sell is super cool and the Temescal neighborhood is awesome. The business is small and successful - I think it's going to keep growing and become more and more successful.

Toxic “mean girl” culture is encouraged (owner is a major contributor to this), gossip, cliques, and talking behind employees’ backs are the norm. Issues are never addressed directly. No proper training or tools provided to do the job (POS system issues, lack of pricing information, no clear process for removing inventory, etc.), yet staff is blamed when mistakes happen Very little support from managers, the owner, or their HR representative Pay is minimal, benefits are non-existent (no health insurance), and commission does not make up for the instability Leadership fails to establish boundaries or communicate respectfully, leading to high turnover and constant tension
