most management is toxic - if you are a DM you set an example and if you go into stores gossiping about other stores/team members you’re going to have that in every store. also mocking the fact that someone called HR on you is unprofessional. people that suffer from mental illness or reach out for help are called crazy and retaliated against. if you are real, stand up for yourself or others, show emotion, etc you are gossiped and lied about and told you are being “disrespectful”. management lacks empathy and compassion- calls green sales associates stupid and incompetent for asking questions on what they perceive to be an easy task. they get mad and frustrated when they have to teach someone something “that they should just know how to do because it’s easy” tons of plastic waste and i doubt those reusable totes cancel out how much waste is produced earthbound sells a lifestyle and concept of “positive vibes” and to “be kind” but the irony is most of the employees are hateful and mean. lack of accountability with management. concerns are gaslighted and dismissed if you do reach out to upper management/ HR you are victim shamed for not reaching out sooner despite being threatened with your job if you upset someone they will gossip, lie, and manipulate what you have said to make you look bad and to get rid of you. earthbound taught me how NOT to treat others
