Vantaggi

Good work and I liked being on my feet and the portion of coworkers I got to know. Management was helpful, and inspectors never got in the way. Good machinery and stocking of produce. The company definitely made a move towards more automated factory work, rather than in house labor which helped with maintaining my shift in prep as the only person scheduled on most days of the week.

Svantaggi

Poor scheduling/distribution of employee labor resulting in short shifts with little work for some employees, and oversized shifts with no breaks and constant work for others. Fired employees for going into overtime, only to rehire them a week or so later just to avoid paying higher wages. Didn't allow employees to talk about wage or give proper notices of changes to pay(this includes raises). The web portal to view one's own pay required an account to be set up by management during hours, which most managers didn't have the time for. Clear divide between individual businesses and corporate changes/and standards, for the worse on both sides. Important to note: Company didn't invest in mats or oven mitts and store owner refused my offer to buy a pair of mitts for the store in favor of using folded cleaning rags.
