Vantaggi

- Great location and beautiful Chicago suburban campus. - Market leader in the industry it is in. - Work/life balance is possible - If you want to retire or are closer to retiring, it is a great place. Once people join the firm, they don't leave. More like a tenure professor mentality, do the minimum and get away with it.

Svantaggi

- The company is very very very political. It is unfortunate because sometimes politics seems to influence decisions and projects, which is not in the best interest of the firm. - Too many layers of management. Very bureaucratic. - Senior management not in touch with reality. They like/or are surrounded by individuals who agree with whatever they say or do and paint a rosy picture. -Firm is driven by sales reps and sales management, who do not have a long term vision and are more concerned about satisfying customers short term, at the expense of future growth. - Employees are promoted mainly based on Seniority, NOT performance. If you would like to take an interesting assignment or be more upwardly mobile, then wait in queue for your turn. Your intelligence, smartness or capability does not have much to do, but based more on seniority.

Vantaggi

The actual coworkers and team members are great. Everyone is super supportive and just trying to help each other out.

Svantaggi

Management: There’s a huge disconnect between upper leadership and the people doing the day-to-day work. Goals and priorities change constantly with very little communication, and it often feels like micromanagement takes the place of actual guidance. Work-Life Balance: The workload is completely unsustainable. You’re expected to handle an overwhelming amount of work, but you aren't given the resources or staffing to actually get it done without burning out. Expecting people to constantly work over their hours has become the norm. Lack of Growth: Career progression is pretty much non-existent. Promises of promotions or career development are thrown around, but they rarely actually happen. There’s no clear pathway to move up, so it’s easy to feel stuck and stagnant.
