Great sales training to get started in the industry. When I reached out to a GP about struggling to pay my bills despite exceeding my numbers, he reached out to my supervisor to give me a temporary net increase as a percentage of gross. It wasn't much money but it meant a lot and was a big help. Made me feel guilty for leaving later, but in hindsight I made that firm a lot of money so I shouldn't have felt guilty.

Was lied to by upper management from before hire throughout 3 years of management about what a career looked like. Everyone I respected left to go to other firms. Everyone who stayed at the firm was given assets to manage without having to work like I did. On the other hand when I left I kept 95% of my AUM, and surpassed it in about 18 months.
