Vantaggi

You can definitely count on a stable income, if you're on the good side of management you will have a great team standing behind you, easy atmosphere to create your own regulars, short shifts, food is great.

Svantaggi

Takes care of the guests way too much. Way too many discounts for the guest I.e. senior discount, safari, $7 off after only $25, buy one get one at lunch time, 2 for $20. Might as well work at Applebee's? With sales at $1000 before discounts, it broke my heart see a whopping $625 after discounts, yet I can only get 50% off my select food items (chix entrees and burgers) if I ate at the restaurant and only 25% on my day off. No discount on Togo. Ever think I don't want to be in the restaurant anymore than I already am!? Turn over rate is very high, which creates the high labor because we have to slowly cut the floor to now over whelm new servers. Long story short, elephant bar tries to act like a high end restaurant but is barely a step up from Applebee's. -__-

Vantaggi

Managers and coworkers can be pretty cool. I love serving, it's great money for the few amount of hours you work.

Svantaggi

Way too many discounts. 20% for seniors, 15% during lunch time, $7.00 off, etc, really hinders your sales and the amount of tips you make. I think it also gives people the wrong impression of our restaurant (hence why we getso many ghetto, cheap people!) Also, although managers are really nice, they sometimes have serious attitude problems. As a trainer, it is also irritating that some of my fellow servers have attitude problems. I feel like elephant bar needs to revamp their hiring process and not just hire anyone who applies and looks good in an interview. Maybe add some more in depth personality tests that one must pass first, then have serious interview questions in which one has to answer professionally and from experience. We would weed out a lot of the bad seeds. When I worked for red lobster, there was a very in depth hiring process, and every single one of my coworkers was like family to me. This is the type of relationship we need. But Ebar hires too many conflicting personalities!
